Machinist (Sturbridge/Brimefield in Worcester, MA

Set-up and operate most jobs on i.e. two and 3 tool conventional machines with both fixturing andor standard set-ups within a cell with minimal supervision in accordance to set-up sheet, blueprints and operation sheets per customer qualifications.Inspection of work with minimal assistance.Train lesser grade individuals on all aspects of conventional machining and proper inspection methodsTrouble shoot and adjust set-ups as necessary, document changes per procedure.Make adjustments to maintain dimensional integrity.Insure machine and inspection set-up are adequate for the productDocumentation of set-ups on set-up sheets.Verify the revision level for the current operation operation sheets, blueprintsRequired Skills This job requires a high-school certificate or GED.2 to 3yr shop manual machine experienceAbility to use typical inspection equipment.Working understanding of most conventional equipment and machinesAbility to read most blueprints and operation sheetsGood understanding of shop math . Expertise to use trigonometry and on blueprints and operation sheetsGood understanding of geometric tolerances.Maintain organization to ISO operation procedures.Complete all job specific required training.Perform duties to achieve overall business unit metrics.Comply to all safety regulations, wears appropriate safety equipment as required in each area of the facility.equired Background Documentation of set-ups on set-up sheets.Verify the revision level for the current operation operation sheets, blueprintsVerify Pc.
